Starting Your Link Campaign
Before you can start your reciprocal linking campaign, you need to install and configure Reciprocal Link Pro. RLP can be installed in under 5 minutes on your host server using the built-in friendly setup manager that will walk you step by step during the installation. Optionally, we can install RLP on your host server for free - just ask and we will be more than happy to do it.
Another nice and very important feature is RLP's built-in auto-updater. Once RLP is installed and configured on your host server, you never have to do any manual updates ever again as new features are released. RLP's built-in auto-updater will update itself automatically with a click of a button. No more downloads, edits and uploads (FTP's) of the latest release! Your copy of RLP will always be up-to-date! The following captures are RLP's setup and auto-updater interface, respectively:
Why did we design RLP to run on your host server and not as a service? The answer:
- It will run faster
- It will be more secure
You don't run the risk of losing potential link partners because your link service provider is slow to response to your link partners inquiries or you loose your link partners because your provider sells your link partners information to other third party link exchange services, diluting your link equity and your effectiveness to reach the top of the SERP (search engine results pages).
With RLP you do not have to worry about any of these issues, because the script is running right besides your website on the SAME server, not against it! You ARE in full control. Best of all, you don't have to pay those high monthly recurring fees for that service. With RLP, it's either free or you pay once and use forever!
Finding Potential Link Partners
RLP makes finding potential link partners that are willing to exchange links with your website fast and easy. RLP searches Google for potential reciprocal link partners that already have a reciprocal link directory themselves and are more than willing to exchange links with your website. This is easily accomplished by entering your target keywords and clicking on the "Find Link Partners" icon, RLP will do the rest to retrieve what it believes are your best potential reciprocal link partners!

RLP also makes your attempts in finding potential link partners even much more easier by its ability to Import Links from a URL. This is easily accomplished by entering a URL address from a link that list links to other potential sites. You can simply find this kind of links from another site directories. The following capture is RLP's Import Links interface:

For each link that RLP finds, it will attempt to get the title, description and any valid email addresses to help auto-fill your directory and also to enable you to send out direct targeted emails to these potential link partners directly to their actual email addresses. This will save you time from not having to search the potential link partner's website looking for email addresses or filling out a form. The following capture is RLP's edit link interface that allows you the flexible to manage a link:
Not only will RLP go out on the Web to find potential link partners, it will do it in a way to preserve the quality of your directory. This is very important and accomplished by RLP's powerful filtering capabilities. For each potential link partner that RLP finds, it will check against your predefined criteria and either automatically approve or reject a link. This will ensure that all links found will meet your initial first pass for your quality requirements. This criteria includes:
- Target Keywords - Get links that focus on your targat keywords
- Minimum Google Pagerank - Get links that meet your minimum Google Pagerank requirements
- Obsense Words- Reject links that have words that you do not want to include in your directory
Now that RLP has found and retrieved these potential link partners, it is up to you to look through each one of those links individually to see if they really meet your quality standards before contacting the link partner and asking for a reciprocal link back. We cannot stress enough that you should only link to sites that are similar and relevant to the themed content of your website.
Only link to partners with similar content and your website's popularity will grow.
Once you have reviewed a potential link partners website and it meets your quality requirements, then you can "Approve" this link to show up in your directory. You can alternatively send an email from within RLP letting your newly approved link partner where their link is located in your directory. The following capture is RLP's send email interface that allows you to send emails with ease to your target link partner's:
Contacting Link Partners
Sending emails from within RLP is super easy as it uses templates to store and send automatic emails out to your potential and existing link partners. RLP includes several pre-built email templates, but you can also add your own custom email template at any time. RLP auto-fills many of the common text in your templates, saving you hours of work and mistakes. The following capture is RLP's email template interface that allows you to manage your prebuilt or custom email templates with ease:
Alternatively, you can also go to a potential partners website and fill out there form to add your link to their directory and update RLP letting you know for later reference that you indeed visited this potential link partners website and did fill out a form on a specific date.
RLP will keep a history of all actions taken for each link. This way you know at a glance what actions have been taken for a specific link partners and take any necessary steps accordingly. For example, if a link partner has not responded back to your email request in 3 weeks, then possibly you can try another email address or check their site for a form to fill out or even delete this link from further inclusion in your directory.
